About Azam

Azam Mirza is the President and Co-founder of Akorbi, a group of companies specializing in language, technology and workforce solutions.

Azam co-founded Akorbi in 2003 as a translation service company. Under his leadership, it has evolved into a global provider of multilingual business solutions with more than 500 employees worldwide.

Akorbi has grown to be the 26th largest language service provider globally, 10th in the US, and was included on the Inc5000 list for 4 consecutive years. The company’s impressive client base includes Google, Blue Cross Blue Shield, iHerb, Kaiser, Aetna/CVS, Hartford, and Apple, among many others.

Azam is also the Managing Partner and President of Runmyprocess (RMP). Recently acquired by Akorbi, under Azam’s leadership, RMP is a sophisticated, low-code technology providing a fully optimized, end-to-end solution that automates workflows to integrate and transform enterprise business applications.

Azam describes himself as a people-person, and is energized by being around those who like to work hard and play hard. He is also a self-proclaimed workaholic, but when he is not working on making Akorbi an industry-leader, he loves spending time with his family.  He is a father of two boys who enjoy basketball, football, action movies, and superheroes.

As the father of a deaf child, Azam has a special spot in his heart for others in the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing community. It is a profound kinship that he shares with this community, and he enjoys any chance to give back and provide support.

Ultimately, Azam would like to create an organization that supports children of this community to adapt and excel in mainstream education and life. The organization’s goal would be to provide resources and a solid foundation for these children and their families to thrive in their local communities, all around the world.

Azam also enjoys giving back and supporting organizations like the Ronald McDonald House charities and the North Texas Food Bank because of how much they do to help families in need and sick children.  He is passionate about education and continues to pay for the college education and support of deserving students around the world, including his native India and Colombia. Under his guidance, Akorbi has formed a partnership with NASA to teach English to deserving students in Colombia with the plan to expand this program all over the world.

Azam’s Education and Experience
